SOMETHING’S NOT ROTTEN HERE
We have tons of bacteria living on our skin, so we do not need any new ones, thank you very much.
That is why we like our linings to be made of triple-washed natural fabrics that have been mixed with the legendary Oriental ramie yarn.
It won’t let the bacteria in and it is one of the strongest natural fibres.
The yarn was even used in cloths for wrapping up the pharaoh mummies of Egypt.
Plus it really makes a wonderful team with a camel wool padding that provides excellent temperature and moisture management.
The padding is even smart enough to eliminate bad odours.
IS IT A DOG OR A MONKEY?
Here is a tribute to the great cultural mix-masters of the 19th century.
Coming from the small Estonian island called Muhu, it is completely different from any other pattern from Estonian folklore.
The men of Muhu were great sailors.
From their travels, they brought back colourful postcards and other things that inspired their wives who sewed the clothes.
Monkeys, elephants, rain forest snakes… just name it!
But most of the Estonian mainland was under the influence of the Lutheran Church at the time.
This means that the ruling approach was a minimalistic, almost goth-like “black always works”.
But in Muhu, most people followed the Russian Orthodox way that came with more glamour and colour.
